The terms Array & Panel have been used interchangeably by various sectors. The PCB Fabrication industry normally uses the term Array to mean a pallet which contains multiple copies of the same circuit board. Other industries have used the term

Panel to describe the same intent. The word Panel, in the Fabrication shops, usually refers to the internal shop-sized panels. These shop-panels contain the Arrays and/or multiple copies of PCBs which will then be separated and shipped after going through the CNC Routing process.


Arrays come in handy for Assembly purposes. The Assembly machine can be programmed to step-and-repeat the population of the same types & number of components to quickly finish a larger set of boards.

At Electronic Interconnect, we design Arrays daily to meet the best yields of our fabrication processes, and to meet the requirements of our customers. We can design with V-Scoring parameters, CNC Routing parameters, as well as a combination of both of these processes. Also, we include Tooling & Fiducials on the Rails, as a standard operation procedure for any Array made by Electronic Interconnect. By engineering Arrays at our location, we are able to not only pass on the savings to our customers, but we also use our years of experience to design Arrays to result in trouble-free Assembly after fabrication!
